Sky Pape – Inklings Instructions
Above: video of fluffing up of pieces after having been stored (rolled or flat)
For displaying works from Sky Pape’s “Inklings” series, the horizontal strips of paper should be gently ‘fluffed up’ if flattened during shipping, so that they are perpendicular (approx 90 degrees) to the wall.
It is recommended to wear gloves when handling the piece, as oils from one’s hands can leave a damaging residue.
The piece can be hung using round-headed map pins through existing pinholes in the work. Any colored threads found on the work are for the easy identification of existing pinholes only. COLORED THREADS ARE NOT PART OF THE ARTWORK AND SHOULD BE REMOVED.
If the work is installed unframed, a can of compressed air (“air duster,” such as used for computers), or a soft, clean paintbrush can be used to gently remove dust.
