Beginning in 2004, I participated in the projects Now: Here: This and Virtual Comunidad. These were ongoing on-line exhibitions put forth by the non-profit arts organization Artists Unite. The projects involved artists from around the world, including those living in Artists Unite's physical community in Washington Heights/Inwood, in upper Manhattan.

Designated Fridays at 16:00 GMT (11:00 a.m. Eastern), these artists created an "art spark" to keep the art engine going in the hearts of the virtual and physical communities by each creating work to be exhibited on this site. Each artist also stated the most important thing on his/her mind at that current moment, offering a rare glimpse into the process, agendas, and idiosyncrasies of the artists' minds.
